Reynolds Commemorates New Vertical Blind Manufacturing Equipment

On Friday, 26th of January we had the privilege of meeting with our friends at Birmingham Growth Hub and Made Smarter to commemorate our new Vertical Blind manufacturing equipment, which replaced our old machine that stopped working last year. We even had a visit from the Mayor of West Midlands & our local MP!

In November we reached out to our good friends at Growth Hub regarding a challenge we faced with our vertical blind manufacturing equipment. It had served us very well for over 15 years, but it reached the end of life unexpectedly and needed replacing.

We were put in touch with the Made Smarter West Midlands scheme, which supports innovations in manufacturing. They looked hard at our business case and agreed to help grant fund the new machinery that we required. This was great news and has helped support the continuation of manufacturing in Birmingham.

We were visited last week by our Local MP who was delighted to hear that jobs are being supported in his constituency and also by the Mayor of the West Midlands who wanted to add his support to retaining jobs in his area too.
